EBLDA Professional Listing Database - Content and Use / Disclaimers of Liability.

East Bay Learning Disabilities Association (EBLDA) provides a Professional Listing Database as a free service to the community. The Professional Listing Database is designed to connect potential consumers with local professionals (licensed and unlicensed providers, organizations, therapists, agencies, etc.) that work with and serve the learning-and attention disabled community.

EBLDA does not sponsor, endorse, recommend or approve any of the service providers who are listed on this site. ANY individual, organization, practitioner, agency, licensed or without, with professional certificate or without, can list themselves on this site. East Bay LDA makes no effort to verify education, background, qualification, skill, competency or effectiveness of provider's services. In the fullest extend possible, EBLDA warns the consumer: BUYER BEWARE. EBLDA is strictly providing this database as a mechanism through which any individual can list their services, and consumers can find resources in our community. We encourage consumers to extensively research any service or individual provider they are considering working with.

EBLDA makes a reasonable effort to present accurate and current information in the Professional Listing Database. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EBLDA makes no representations as to: the quality, content, accuracy, completeness, timeliness or reliability of any information displayed or distributed. The database content may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors. Any use of the database is at your own discretion and risk. Nothing on this database shall be considered an endorsement, representation, or warranty with respect to any information provided by the database or obtained as the result of any posting. Any information regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the material, services, links, or, operation of the database is provided on an "as is" basis without any warranties of any kind.

EBLDA does not allow purposely abusing server resources when using the search mechanism. Use of the search mechanism is strictly restricted to the sole use for inquiring individuals. Using the database for any other reason, including but not limited to, gathering email address, abusing server resources, gathering personal information to sell, etc is against the terms of use and will not be tolerated by EBLDA.

EBLDA has the right to disable the use of the database at any time. EBLDA may disable access to rights to individuals (ban) or discontinue the service EBLDA is providing.

Privacy Policy

EBLDA does collect identifiable information regarding the user. This information will not be sold or given away to any third party. EBLDA may use the information gathered by statistics, marketing and security. This information will be not be made viewable to the public but EBLDA is not responsible of this information should leak out.

Complaints about Professionals Listed in Database

If you become dissatisfied with a provider who you found through our database and wish to lodge a complaint, EBLDA is pleased to receive your feedback. Your complaint should contain the following information: your name, the name and contact information of the provider, the services you purchased, the nature of your grievance, and your unrestricted permission for us to disclose to the provider that you filed a complaint against them, if EBLDA so chooses. Complaints should be sent by email to president@eastbaylda.org.

While EBLDA reserves the right, at its discretion, to not list or remove any provider from its Professional Listing Database with or without cause, EBLDA offers no guarantee to dissatisfied consumers of a particular provider that any action will be taken by EBLDA against a provider as a result of a complaint(s) which have been filed with EBLDA. NOTICE: A COMPLAINT FILED AGAINT A PARTICULAR PROVIDER MAY RESULT IN NO ACTION BY EBLDA. EBLDA does, however, pledge to review each and every complaint and if multiple complaints are received against a particular provider, at its discretion, EBLDA may remove provider from the Professional Listing Database.

The Professional Listing Database is designed to connect potential consumers with local professionals (licensed and unlicensed providers, organizations, therapists, agencies, etc.) that work with and serve the learning and attention disabled community.

User Agreement

As a user of the Professional Listing Database (a listing professional), you are responsible for your own communications, and are responsible for the consequences related to such communications. When you send information to the database for posting on the Site, you acknowledge and agree that you alone are responsible for verification of the form, content, and accuracy of the information contained in the professional listing database, as posted on the Site, and for contacting EBLDA in a timely manner concerning the correction of any errors or omissions by using the "Edit your listing" page located on the database main page.

Your submission may not contain:

• copyrighted material (unless you own the copyright or have the owner's permission to post the copyrighted material);
• material that infringes on or misappropriates any other intellectual property rights, or violates the privacy or publicity right of others;
• material that is not relevant
• material that causes stress to the server or uses up server resources. You agree to abide to all notices posted on the web pages
• information that is not legitimate or fraudulent.

Your submission must contain sufficient information and detail to clearly convey to the user the name and address or your business and/or organization, credentials, area of specialization, years of experience, ages served, your qualifications, hours of operation, and any other pertinent information. EBLDA has the sole and exclusive authority to accept or reject any submission concerning this database. EBLDA reserves the right to refuse to post a submission for any reason, and with and without cause.

Privacy Policy

You also agree that any information sent to EBLDA will not be treated as confidential. EBLDA makes no guarantees of the security of the information sent. Any information EBLDA receives will be made viewable to the general public with the exception of the password provided. While EBLDA will do its best to protect the password by simple encryptions, EBLDA is not responsible if a third party should view the password. EBLDA does collect personal identifiable information when submitting to the Professional Listing Database. We reserve the right to sell or give away the information collected.

Complaints Filed about Professionals Listed in Database

EBLDA encourages dissatisfied consumers to file a complaint against any provider listed in EBLDA's Professional Listing Database. EBLDA reserves the right, at its discretion, to not list or remove any provider from its Professional Listing Database with or without cause, and with and without investigation. As a listing provider in the database, you acknowledge that you are waiving all rights to any claim of harm or financial damages to your business or service if EBLDA removes your listing from the Referral Database. If you are removed, the governing board of EBLDA will send you notification. If multiple complaints are received against a particular provider, at its discretion, EBLDA may remove provider from the Professional Listing Database Please allow up to (2) business days for your information/description of services to be posted in the Professional Listing Database. If your posting does not appear on the Site, please contact our Webmaster via email at webmaster@eastbaylda.org.
